Is it because my ammonia got too high? Should I do a water change?

I did a 50% water change yesterday but the levels stayed the same
And this morning there the same too
Ammonia >8ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm

So I went to the beach yesterday and I brought some water and sand (the beach was deserted its sort of a rock pool area) and I did a small 10% water change with that water and added some mossy seaweed
The readings this morning are
Ammonia >8ppm
Nitrite .25ppm
Nitrate 5ppm

Day 7 I think :S

Ammonia >8ppm
Nitrite 1ppm
Nitrate 40ppm

Will I need to do a water change because of the high ammonia?

I would buy ro water instead of buying my salt cause of the salinity in your tank

Iv heard of that cycle product, except I heard it can cycle your tank in a week...
My salinity is a 1.025
My readings for today
Ammonia 4-8ppm
Nitrite 5ppm
Nitrate 80ppm

Just be patient. Don't do any water changes until the cycle is complete. It will get there eventually!

Is there a point where the readings get too high that I need to do a water change?

Today's readings :)

Ammonia 2-4ppm
Nitrite 5ppm
Nitrate >160ppm

The faster you cycle your tank the more problems you will have later down the road. It's call new tank syndrome. Mine cycled in 12 but I'm sure anyday now ill have a little spike... I have a bag of clear blue fx (or something like that) in my filter keeping everything down...

Is my tank cycling too fast?

Ammonia 0.25ppm
Nitrite >5ppm
Nitrate >160ppm
