Hello my Dad is thinking of getting a 24g or a 12g nano for his computer desk how hard are these to take care of he has freshwater tanks but never salt I have large salktwate tanks It just seems these nanos would be alot harder to care for

also if he does do this he would be better off with the 24g correct?

and it will have to cycle just like a big tank i assume

so to start he should jest get sand and lr correct?

is it better to have a deepsand bed or shallow thanks for your time i am sure i will have more?s soon

IMO the bigger the better. Yes it will have to cycle. Alot of people do DSB and alot dont. I have about a 2 inch sandbed but it`s up to you.

Yes, the 24 gallon would be easier to care for, but may not be an appropriate choice for a computer desk due to the weight. Your dad may want to look into buying a stand for the tank instead.
