The Diamond Blend media label says it's for FW. What would one use to accomplish the same goal in SW?

You want your bio-filter to neutralize all the ammonia, etc. There's no need for an ammonia absorber unless you're having a problem w/ high levels (or possibly in very new tanks as a precaution). Even then it would only be a temporary solution for such an issue. I use just a quality GAC like black diamond. HTH

For the heck of it, I place a pillow of Purigen and a pillow of GAC in. Have had pretty good parameters.
