1. Is there any sure fire way to help alleviate diatoms?

2. Approx. how much wattage (lighting) is needed for a rose bulb anemone?

3. Which light is better: Current USA Orbit 48" 4 x 65 Watt Power Compact Strip Light W/4 Lunar Lights or Coralife Lunar Aqualight 48" 384 Watts # 408

4. And my really dumb question, Do Mythrax crabs molt?

TIA

Not sure about the lighting questions, I have a fish and invert tank...but
diatoms are an algea and nutrient control through the use of a skimmer, water changes with RO water, etc will help.
Yes, Emerald crabs do molt, however I have noticed not as often as shrimp or hermits..

Anemones typically need about 4-6 watts/gallon (rule of thumb). Some variables come into play like the depth of the tank etc. Can't ofer any opinions on your lighting choices and to confirm, yes the crab will molt. Important to keep Iodine trace up in the tank to help with this, your hermit crab and your shrimp which all molt. HTH

Adding rowaphos to your eheim will help lower phosphates, which in turn should help with your diatoms.
