DSB with Chaeto? Any real benefits?

Hi,

I have some questions about DSB and macro algae.

1. Is there any reason to use DSB with Chaeto? Or chaeto alone can significaly reduse the nitrates?

2. Can chaeto live with DSB? DSB won't take all the nutriments?

3. Can I plant Mangroves in DSB?

Water changes reduce nitrates best.
Growing macros in a refugium is probably a good idea.
A DSB is a deep sand bed, it doesn't really do too much. Just causes issues if you stir it up too much.

Mangroves are a pain in the but to grow, so I wouldn't try them.
