I bought a Caribbean feather duster yesterday and placed it in the tank.

The guy at the lfs told me to slightly cover it's tube with sand and that'll be that.

I checked the tank this morning and the worm seems to have left the tube and moved to an area of higher flow.

From what I've read online people say the worm leaving the tube spells death.

Help?!

Hi there your feather duster leaving his tube does not mean he will die although it does leave him vulnerable he may not have been happy with where he was placed he can make a new tube and grow new feathers the one piece of advice I was given when I got my first duster was not to let the tube be removed from water when placed in the bag and likewise when placing in the tank as air can cause problems in the tube hope this helps Lisa
