I have a 72 bowfront with fish sps, lps, and soem softies ive been told you should push enough water to turn the tank over 10 times an hour does that sound right?? if not what is a good number?

Yes, 10 times or greater would be suggested. I can be difficult to get higher then that with just your main pump so the easiest way to do this is with power heads inside the tank. They also make it easy to direct the flow in areas you want (around those SPS that require high flow).
