how long after cycling do you add skimmer?

My tank has live rock and was cycled in about 3 weeks . I have added some 3 damsels and crabs and snails. (55g) So the tank has now been running for about 4-5 weeks total. I also have some mushrooms polyps. When do i need to add the skimmer?

Fire it up anytime
The advice I was given was to run it during the cycle just to let it get through it's break-in period.
Needs some time to gather some slime in order to work I think...

everything that I have read on this site and all of the answers to my questions have said to run all of your equipment during your cycle.

Start it now. It will not adversely affect the completed status of your cycle.
