Limestone as baserock

My Dad was over to my house today and
mentioned using limestone as baserock. I have never thought of this but it has me interested. Thoughts and advice from the pros?

I've heard limestone causes ph issues... may wanna check on it

limestone is a calcium carbonate and the PH really has to get below 7 to cause any sort of trouble with the PH

limestone is fine to use as base rock. it's not as porous as most ocean rock however.
