Just got my livesand in the tank and now it looks great.
It was huge mistake using silica sand, as the dust cloud NEVER settled, and so I'm much happier with the livesand, which settled in 1 day.

Right now I have a 110 gallon tank with livesand, salwater, powerheads, protein skimmer, and nothing else.

Is the livesand going to be ok for a while until I get my liverock? Or does it need to be fed by the liverock and/or fish?

How long can I wait until I put liverock in?

I am going on vacation for two weeks, and would rather get the liverock when I get back.

Thank you for your help.

Heres a thought foryou.

If you get the live rock before you leave you can put it in the tank and it can cure while your gone. I would feed teh life sand a little bit before you leave. It can be as simple as some flake food or a shrimp thats chopped up into small bits.
