Mushroom question

I bought 2 small size mushrooms (diameter is about half an inch). I placed them on rocks. This morning, I found one of them on the substrate and I can find the other one.
1. Should I move back the mushroom on the substrate back onto the rock or should I leave it there? I don't think it got swept away from the water flow, I think it walked there.
2. If the other mushroom that I cant find dies, will it be a problem for my tank? my tank is 16gallons.

If you want to keep it where it was you`ll need to tie it down lightly with some fishing line or thread. You can also superglue it to a piece of rock and then place it where you want it. The lost one should find his way to a spot he likes.
