Okay, with such a small tank you could do alot of things as far as lights. Target 3-4watts per gal as a starting point for low light corals, mushrooms and some LPS. choses are LEDs, T-5's would work fine.

Hi - I was browsing posts on water params/cycling and found yours. I have a similar sized tank and have not had a cycle due to the quality of the live rock. Still no nitrates at all. But my pH seems to be going up so I think it might be time for a water change. If anyone has any helpful advice on doing this (it's my first time) then I would be most grateful. My post is on the Identification forum under "star shaped moving critter". I will be watching yours closely to see if any advice will help me decide what to do.
