PVC cement cure time

How long after glueing PVC pipe or fittings can you start using it in aquariums? Will the cement leech if it's too soon? Thanks...

I was reading up on this, and I am fairly sure that after an hour or so it is safe to test for leaks, etc. It will also hold any pressure after about 30 minutes. I connected mine in an established tank with glue, and waited about 2 hours before running water through it and everything was fine. I know it does say to wait 24 hours though, so I guess you will just have to decide what you are comfortable with.

i've used glued pvc pipes 5 minutes after gluing them.

I might not be an expert in saltwater aquariums but I do know plumbing and I have to agree that you can use glued PVC in as little as 5 minutes.
