I was at my local pet store today and they were telling me that you could use a pure h2o station to get water to start the tank is that true? I was plaining on using distilled water but they said the pure h2o stations would be a lot cheaper any one ever heal of this?

No like a water station at a turkey hill. it's like 10 cents a gallon

That would be RO ro RODI water. That would be fine if the filters are changed as necessary. Get a TDS meter and test the H2O station for ZERO tds (RODI) or under 10 (RO) water.

Having your own RODI water is cheaper in the long run.
