Toad Stool Slime

My toad stool that I got yesterday has kinda a coating of slime on it that is coming off. Is that normal? It looks bumpier this morning but it's not open yet. I have not turned my lights on yet. My red star fish has not moved from the spot I put it. Is that ok too? It's not curled up it's flat on the rocks.

Toadstools do shed their outter layer every now and again. It is common in ones that have just been moved. Make sure it is in an area of high flow to aid in this process.

Ok he is in a high flow of water. I was worried it might be to much for him. Thanks
