UV sterilizers

Hi I'm trying to find some info on using a uv sterilizer on a marine system. I heard people say that it's ok & others say don't. Any helpful advice would be very appreciated.

Just my opinion, I have used one and still have it but, I think it was a waste of money. Did'nt see any difference with or without it. Of course I try to keep all of my tanks pretty clean anyway so I may not have noticed any difference.

I would highly recommend one, cleared all of my algae problems up especially on my sand, it even helped save my clown fish from parasite outbreak, it needs a low flow rate to pass through it for it to work and a bulb change every six months.

Having one in my eyes is only beneficial
