Water is getting dirty and brown growth on sand and rocks

hi all, while waiting for my tank to cycle should i clean my sand and glass? there is what looks like brown algae all over and it seems to make my water dirty? thanks

Cleaning the glass is fine but I wouldn't bother with the substrate. Once the cycle is done and the algaes have burned up most of their fuel source they will subside. The snails and such added after the cycle will remove what's left. Using carbon and/or a skimmer will help clear the water.

thanks alot mate.....i have a skimmer on the old bakpak it seems to work decent
