My live rock is turning white, i havent changed anything and for the past 6 months is the same LR,is it normal? is it wrong? it would rot all into smelly poo?

Sometimes coraline with fade away in certain spots, but come back even stronger.

When I added MH my LR turned white at first. It took a couple of months to come back. You would know if you had die off on the rock. It is a smell like no other!
