16 gallon rectangular options!

i just bought a 16 gallon tank and i would love some suggestions for what kind of fish to put in there. i am a newbie =)

4 platies would work and you could also do a school of something like neons, panda cories, harlequin rasboras, glowlight tetras, and so forth. A nice centerpiece would be a honey or dwarf gourami, although I'm personally not a big fan of pairing them with platies.

If you skipped the platies you could look into nano fish such as celestial pearl danios, ember tetras, chili rasboras, and so forth.
