Tested the levels a little bit ago..... The good news is that I am showing 20ppm nitrate now, and 0ppm nitrite..... But ammonia is reading at 0.25ppm and I'm not sure why......

Should water changes bring this back down maybe there just isn't 'enough' bacteria? My little feeder guppies are happy and look great, so I'm not sure how concerned I should be or what my next move should be.....

Thanks for any help

0.25ppm is perfectly fine. If it raises to .5ppm that is the point in which I would do a 50% water change.
