I have an old 40b in the basement I was thinking about setting up again. Of all the fish I had the two angelfish that I liked the most.

They grew up together starting in a 20H at the size of quarter. Then as they got larger I moved them into a 37. As they got older I eventually had to separate them, I think they were both males and they were fighting all of the time.

I'm thinking I will just get one angelfish this time, but I'm wondering if a 40b is tall enough for an angelfish. I don't think I will add any other fish, in my experience as angelfish get older they just want to be left alone.

I think it will be fine too. Aqua Adviser seems to think it's ok and I think 29g is considered the minimum size tank for an adult angel and that is only 2 inches taller than the 40b.

I got an angel that's 5 inches now. I'm positive he'd be cool with my 40g breeder.
