Dear all,

I'm living in a flat in a city, so space is not abundant, but would really love to set-up a tank with a couple (or maybe harem) of Apisto's (Cacatuoides).

I'm having some very basic questions about this, and would love some advice!
  • Would the Superfish Home 80 be a good choice?
  • What is the estimated cost I should account for to get from zero to a running tank?
  • What's the level of difficulty? (I had some tropical fish as a teenager)
  • In terms of workload, is it possible to keep it reasonable to maintain the tank?

Really appreciate all the help!
Cheers

Low light plants and these fish are said to be pretty easy to care for.

If you can find a cichlid society / cichlid club in your area, they often have auctions and members/breeders will sometimes have more beautiful fish than available at stores. And so many varieties!!! Have so many friends who keep/have kept and love these guys.

30G tank and getting the tank matured and stable will be important, and keeping up on maintenance is important.
