Feeding Oscars

Best food for 2 10 inch Oscars ? Really do not want to feed Flakes..And is a 55gal tank large enough for them ?

I always fed a variety of frozen and live.

What would be the right size for them. How can I tell wheather they are male or female ? What type feed ?

They will eat and eat. Feed but dont go overboard. Live food have risks but

Crickets
Blood worms
Red wigglers
Guppies
Ghosts
Feeder gold fish

Any frozen tubiflex blood worms ect.

I fed mine that for ten yrs in a 90. Gave him away he still alive about 15 yrs old

Thanks I raise meal worms and fed a few of those today and they really liked them..Going tomorrow to get some pellets..will the meal worms be ok ?

Absolutely. Some live foods are lower on protien than one might think. Its been awhile and cant remember all the protein values. Do a little research to ensure he/she gets balanced diet.
