Filter or airator?

I received this is a pack I got through auction of bulk stuff is it a small filter or just a air thing? Thanks joy

It's a small box filter (sponge filter). I have one I got with a 15L tank. Works pretty well for a small setup.

Those small filters are great for small tanks and fry tanks and betta tanks. They do also aerate the water though.

Thanks to both of you, I was planning on using it with a roughly 10L fry tank so should solve my problems. Beats having to buy more fish stuff my husband now just rolls his eyes when I say im going to the LFS he knows it means something will come home.
