How slowly do you have to add fish?

I've decided on my plan for the 37 gallon.

4 guppies
2 mollys
3 swordtail
3 platys

should i add one species at a time or what?

That depends how you cycle. With fishless you could add them all once the cycle is complete. With fish in you could add 1-3 to begin with then add 1-3 every 1-2 weeks AFTER the cycle is completed with the original fish.
