Hi guys been keeping freshwater tanks for years but started to take it more seriously. The issue I am having is that I want to grow a fair amount of plant life but do not have co2 enrichment therefore I don't want to over stimulate the plant growth and cause a lack of carbon in the water for the plants to use and then they die. I have seen the kilowatt per gallon rule but understand this is bs! I have 3ft square of surface area on tank and 45cm depth or roughly 17"-18" not a big tank by any means as I have had huge tanks in the past (2000ltr) and now just keeping small specialist community tank and would like to know what led setup ppl would recommend (or not use led and use florescent tubes) for this to make sure I keep the balance correct any suggestions would be great cheers

Hey guys I have since read that led is not suitable for fresh water plant life but when referring to LEDs I mean the specific fresh water led setups such as the aquabeam 600 lighting strip full spectrum fresh water setup or similar or is it best to stay with florescent tubes
