Hey AA peeps looking for some advise on a new tankmate or new school I'm not looking for any tetras or killis but something new

My current stock is
5- buenos aires tetras
5- prestella tetras
5- serpae tetras
5- zebra danios
4- corys
5- guppys
2- mollys
1- platy

More info: it's a 55g with a marineland penguin 400(rated for 80 gallons)

Wouldn't the gourami get aggressive with all of the fast movement from the danios and buenos aires tetras?

You could do an angel or two, maybe a trio of apistos. Kribs or keyhole cichlids would work as well. A group of rainbow fish is a possibility as well.

Is it better with 2 females and 1 male apisto or it doesn't matter?

One Male, two females in a 55 you could do 2 males and 3-4 females, should be enough room for two territories.

I went to ny lfs today and they had Round Banded Barbs( which I've never heard of) but after doing some research I found out they are from the minnow family and are basically identical to the cherry barb and get the same size if I put 5 of them would I have room for 3 apistos or should I consider a school/schol of something else?
