hi,
just got a new tank today 48x18x18 ~65 gallon :D

Just wonder is my carnister filter (fluval 304) is enough for it?
or do i need more filtering?

also i am planning to go for heavy planted tank  Is AquaOne 48' lighting enough? i think it is rated at 40watt per globe (it has two)...dont know what kind of glode tho.

thank guys

i am not sure i would think you might need the next one up since many with 40 gallon tanks use that model but I dont know

It really depends on what kind of plants you want to keep... High light plants are going to need alot more light and CO2 injection.. but low light plants will do fine with 80 watts over a 65 watt tank as long as the light is NO or = and the color temperature or K is within normal range for plants 5000-10000K..
your fulval 304 would be fine.... Getting a spounge for the intake would be very wise though.. the intake spounge for the magdrive 2-5 models will fit as long as you take the adapter out of it ( the adapter fits the magdrive pumps.. )
