It really depends on what kind of plants you want to keep... High light plants are going to need alot more light and [acronym:58ae9b2ad8="Carbon dioxide"]CO2[/acronym:58ae9b2ad8] injection.. but low light plants will do fine with 80 watts over a 65 watt tank as long as the light is [acronym:58ae9b2ad8="Normal Output Fluorescents"]NO[/acronym:58ae9b2ad8] or = and the color temperature or [acronym:58ae9b2ad8="Kelvin or Potassium, depending on context"]K[/acronym:58ae9b2ad8] is within normal range for plants 5000-10000K..
your fulval 304 would be fine.... Getting a spounge for the intake would be very wise though.. the intake spounge for the magdrive 2-5 models will fit as long as you take the adapter out of it ( the adapter fits the magdrive pumps.. )
[acronym:58ae9b2ad8="Hope this helps (or) Happy to help"]HTH[/acronym:58ae9b2ad8]
