I wanted to get your opinion on stock. I think I know the answer already but thought I would see what you think.

I have a 65 gallon tank (36.5 - 19 - 24.5) tank with one tiger oscar. He is doing great and grown over two inches since I got him. He is about 5 inches long now. I know he will get large and require at least 55 gallons by himself.

My question is, do you think it would be ok to add a convict cichlid or blue acara (assuming I qt it first)? I hear these fish do ok with o's and stay fairly small. I know I can't add one that is really small or the Oscar will eat it.

Thanks.

I'd say no, the 65 is basically the minimum for the Oscar alone and anything more would be overstocking IMO.
