Ok, my 29 gallon contains 8 platies, 7 corydoras, 1 paradise gourami, 1 female betta, and two tetras that just won't die. I am wanting to convert it into a brackish tank. I have three other tanks: A 10g, 5g and 2.5g. What fish can I move into which tanks and which fish should I give away if I do decide to convert? My 10g contains snails and a male betta, my 5g has a pair of bettas (which i could move into the 2.5) and a 2.5 with nothing.

None of the fish you listed are brackish. With the stock in your other tanks, you have to give away all the other fish. 2 bettas in a 2.5 gal is too small for them.

Platies and bettas should not be housed together in a 2.5 gal. Since the point is to make the 29 gal brackish that leaves only small tanks for the other fish. If you want to add platies with the betta put them in the 10 gal and see how that works out. Be prepared to move the platies out again.
