OK so I have a few angels in my 75gal tank and I know I will have a pair soon or so I hope. In my 75gal I am running a canister filter and a week ago I added a 4 1/2 " sponge filter hoping to seed it to put in the 25gal will that work for filtration it will be a bare bottom tank or will I also need a HOB I will most likely pull the pair after the fry get to swimmers if not before

No HOB is necessary. I use sponges in all my tanks and tend to use the 125gal size for everything. With the angels, just make sure to give them time once moved and feed heavy on frozen or live food. Put the breeding sustrate, flat rock or what ever in the back of the tank to limit disruption and stress. Once they spawn they will be on high alert and disturbing them can cause them to eat the eggs. Also, first time parents almost always eat the eggs. It can take a few rounds.
