what were they?

i found a 10g tank outside, but when i looked inside there were strange little larvae/bugs? they looked kind of like grey inchworms, does anybody know what they were? i think maybe mosquito larvae, but I'm not sure....

We can never know without pictures, but you sure wouldn't want ANY bug, alive or dead, in your aquarium. Disinfect the aquarium before use. Good luck!
