Is it a coral? A rock? It is alive!

Noticed this after the algae started to receed in my new tank setup.
Item #1 is definatly alive, it seems pulse every once and a while. Item #2 seems to look like jello, but it looks like something is moving inside

Looks like a form of sea squirt to me...JMO

Item #1 looks like a sponge to me, Item #2 looks like a shield limpet.
