I lost my royal gramma today and I have know idea why. I test for the usual, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,ph,alk,ca and iodine.

Is there something I'm missing, because all of the vitals check out good.

My Kole Tang that I have had for almost two weeks, will still not eat. All that he will do is pick at the diatom. He shows no sign of a sunkin belly, but does appear to have a rapid breathing pattern.

I welcome any ideas.

What are the levels exactly?

Hate to have you spell it out but "good" can sometimes be a relative term. Any other fish than the Kole and if so are they showing similar symptoms?

No other fish in the tank, the reason I didnt post them is because I listed them last night. I felt I was beening a pain and hogging the site up, but here they are,

tested the water and its- PH 8.1
Nitrites-0
Nitrates-0
Ammonia 0
Salinity 33 or 1.024
Temp 79
I run 420 watts of VHO, skim, and use carbon.

The Kole tang is in the main display?? They are the Typhoid Mary of ick....and velvet, which can kill quickly (especially smaller fish) and can be difficult to see. Did the gramma have an physical signs?
