My toadstool isn't opening up. All other corals are doing great...hammer, frogspawns, greenstar polyps, torch and galaxy.

It seems like it partially opens when i wave to get rid of its excess skin and then retracts the polyps. But it hasn't fully opened yet. any ideas?

Sounds like it is shedding, this will occur periodically as the toadstool rids itself of mucos, detritus and algae build up. Good flow will speed the process up.

Well, the more flow the more quickly it goes, but alot is dependant on size and tank conditions too, but average is 4-7 days.

hmm that must have been the reason mine was closed for like a week. then i put a new pump on the tank and it opend up in a few days after that. with a ton of slime like mucos. and it prolly helped that i added gac to the tank too.

what is near the toadstool?

Everything is well separated in the tank. Well, except for the two frogspawns and the torch, But they look fantastic.
