I have a Tiger Barb that got his back fin nipped almost completely off about 3 weeks ago. I've had the guy QTed since then and while his open wounds have healed, the back fin seems to be taking awhile to grow back. He seems to have adapted well cause he can swim around very quickly. Do you think it's a good idea to put him back into the main tank and monitor him? He seems to be extremely bored all by himself. Thanks.

What nipped him in the first place? If the aggressor is still in the tank I would wait a bit longer to see how the fin heals.
