Dalmation Mollies and the way they swim

I have a 2 dalmation mollies and my black mollie swims around the tank weirdly with his tail at the side of him instead of behind him... Is this normal for the males to swim like this???

mine only do that when they are circling a female and he will raise his dorsal fin. Sailfin mollie, quite a sight with that fin up. All the males fins are strait normally though.
