Think my ram, keyhole or angel might have done it. I found him this morning with absolutely no barbels. This is the second death in 2 days. Yesterday one of my otos died. I have a feeling it's my keyhole because he seems a lot more active now that he's cured and settled in. I thought they were peaceful species... Just cichlid nature I guess.

It looked like someone had just sliced them off and it was all red

whats your substarte? if its sharp they can cut them and get infexcted

It's pool filter crushed rock. Almost like sand but bigger grains. It's not sharp and the other cories are fine.

It was likely a bacterial infection. A sharp substrate could theoretically (have never seen it happen) nick a barbel but it wouldn't cut them all off at once.

The fish could have been sick and more susceptible to an infection, or it could be a disease, just keep an eye on the rest of the fish.

Will do thanks guys.

I just had done a water change yesterday night and everyone seem fine. Must've missed something.
