My cory catfish are eating rotten snail flesh

So I found out my mystery snail was dead today. When I pulled it out of the tank its rotten innards spewed out (ew) Later I saw that my cory catfish were feasting on the dead, rotten snail flesh littered on the gravel. Is this harmful for the fish???? Are cory catfish OK with eating rotten stuff???

I wouldn't worry about it. Lots of fish and snails will pick at other dead fish and snails. Next time just try to scoop all the remains out. Depending on tank size I find turkey basters helpful to suck up undesirable gunk in the tank
