Paraguard - your thoughts please

After loosing 30 + fish, a friend has suggested Paraguard. I don't know why they all dyed, from 2 different tanks. So I would like to try this and you have used this product - your thoughts please.

I'm sure this has been an extremely frustrating and saddening experience but from my past trials and tribulations I'm not a fan of treating for the unknown disease as it can have a negative effect. Paraguard is fairly easy on the fish when compared to other fish medications but I'd personally skip them at this time.
