Pleco just arrived in a tank of nasty nasty water

He doesn't seem happy should I medicate him or just get him into better water slowly?

If he isn't sick there really isn't any need to medicate. I would drip acclimate him into clean water and watch him. I don't know what you mean by he doesn't seem happy. If he still doesn't seem happy then you can think about meds. My reasoning is if his water is that dirty then it may just be pollutants in his water.

Sounds good. He was floating upside down but lethargic so I am adjusting his temp too. The water was 71 so I am heating the water. The lady had him and 8 tetras in 2 gallons overnight :/
