My discus have all of a sudden been getting sick. It looks bacterial, but pimafix and melafix is not helping. Any suggestions would be great. My rams, loachs, Cory's, and pleco don't have this issue.

Temp 82
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
PH - 7.2

Woah. That is one bad looking discus. I would quarantine before I tried any other treatment. I have a textbook on discus health. Let me flip through it.

82 is a bit low for discus IMO. It could possibly just be ich. Discus tend to shed their muscles menbranes when attacked. I would raise the temp to 85-86 and treat with a medication containing malachite green. OR- it could be the "new discus disease" I'll attach photos from my big ol' book. I hope you can enlarge/ zoom in on the text. It says neomycin sulfate and nitrofurantoin may help.

Wow, ok. It sounds like this may be my problem. It just started out of no where. To the QT tank they go. My curiosity still remains for the infected tank. Once they get out of QT, I question wether the display will still have the possible disease or if a follow tank can support it.

This tank is turning out to be more difficult to deal with than my SPS reef. Lol
