Was looking in my tank tonight a realized that my swordtail no longer has it's tail... He is in a 20 gal high with quite a few RCS and a bunch of snails.. 2 long fin Danios, and a platy.. Are the Danios fin nippers ? I thought they where peaceful fish.. I ha,be plenty of hiding spots.. But IM not sure what's going on , if this is fin rot or sometimes not being Nice in the tank..I've also noticed that he still has a good appetite .but he's not very active and his tail droops can anyone tell me what is going on.. Stats are 8.0 Ph , 0 ammonia 0 nitrites , over 80 nitrates... I have a neimatoad problem I have to do a water change.. Thanks for any help

Well, just about any fish can be a bit nippy if its not in a full school. However, judging from the pictures, your swordtail had something else wrong with it.
Do you have a testkit for water parameters? How long has it been set-up? Any new additions?
It looks like the fish could have an internal parasite or other issue. He looks pretty skinny.

Nitrates are a little high.. But 0..0.. <80 ..API Master freshwater.. Tank has been up for over a year.. 20G high.. I've had him since the beginning.. He has slimmed down some I guess.. But I feed small amounts twice a day.. Before I go to work and after I get home like clock work.. No new additions the same 4 fish for about 6 months.. All was well till I seen this..not sure what to make of it
