any idea what this is ?

Does anyone know what this is? I want to think it is a featherduster but it has never had a crown. It has beenin my tank about two months now and started from nothing. Again iv never seen it open up but there is definitely some sort of worm in there

Looks more like the tub of a vermetid snail to me. Have you ever seen a "web" in your tank?

Iv seen weblike stuff come out of it but this thing grew right under my powerhead so it just gets sucked up so it hasnt beena problem. Are those guys ok?

Depends on what you are doing with your tank. They can be harmless, but if the web comes in contact with LPS or SPS corals, it can irritate them into recession.

Hmm maybe ill break him off then. I got a birdsnest and favia in there and wouldnt want anythingto happen to them
