Hi all,

I have a snail dieing in my fuge and I noticed that some little bristleworms around the snail. They were black/brown in the middle and red on the ends. They later disappeared into the sand. I got a pic I can post later but just wanted to see what everyone thought. Only thing in the fuge is sand added from my main tank. No LR in the fuge.

Is this a bristle or something else?

Sounds like a bristleworm. If the snail was dieing, they would have just been out doing their job. You'd be suprised where these guys end up within your ecosystem. The lack of seeding material in the fuge will not impede with their presence. They can migrate just about anywhere given enough time.

Cheers
Steve

Cool. I am just happy the fuge is brimming with life. My green mandarin will stay happy.

I had a bristleworm in the display but he was bigger and all one color.

Thanks Steve-S!
