Bubble algae

I am looking after a friends tank and he has this bubble algae growing on his live rock what could be the cause of it and how do you get rid of it.

It Could be many different things. It could be high nitrates, phosphates, or possibly even silicates. I highly doubt the last one but it is possible. Emerald crabs are one of the best fixes to bubble algae!
