Hey, i got 2 a green chromie, and when i was lookin at one of them, these bubbles came out of his mouth, and then went back in. its dorsal fins also were very erect. both of my chromies have done this a couple of times, and even my lamark angle has done it once. Both of my chromies just got rid of ich in thier body, i hope. I was wondering why it was doin this, and if its bad, or good.

This is a unique observation. I would guess there's air coming from somewhere. Maybe the bubbles just move according to the inhaling and exhaling of the water??? and perhaps caught an air bubble??? Just a thought. I've never observed such a thing.

Watch for surface gulping. Most times it will be from that in which case you should also be looking at the alk/pH levels and water flow. Fish will also have the tendancey to capture nitrogen or CO2 bubbles as they float to the surface.

Cheers
Steve
