It is growing on my Fiji rock, it is 'woody'. Maybe an inch long, and a quarter inch wide and is flat. When I touched it it felt pliable but resistant. It started out as one at the base of the rock and has now sprouted to 4. Sorry I am having a hard time explaining, hope someone can help.

most likely some kind of macro algae growing out of the rock
can't tell what type till it grows out some

Not very likely that its harmful. The only a few things that show up growing on live rock, and usually it is aiptasia or majano anemones. Other than that that one may get harmful snails or crabs.

Is it bad?

Like I said

can't tell what type till it grows out some

but I don't think it's something to worry about
let it grow out a little so it can be positively ID
I actually like macros growing in the tank they look good ,help with nitrates, and herbivorous fish love them
I have several types growing in my tank
I have a red grape caulerpa
fern caulpulera
green grape caulerpa

Thank you so much for replying. I love all the stuff that grows, it adds character to each tank! I'll take your advice and let it grow & see how it pans out. Thanks again!
