Help with Plant-Like ID

Hey guys,

This bunch of little plant looking stuff appeared a few months ago in my tank as a few strands. Now it looks like the attached picture. Does anyone have an idea what this is? Should I try to get rid of it?

Do a search of Rhyophyta. Particularly Gracilaria and see if this is what you have. HTH
