Just wondering if this is one of the same stars that everyone sees.. It doesn't look like any that I've seen before..

Thank you. Ill have to look them up. I've heard that some of the stars eat corraline ..

There are so many different Asterina stars It's hard to determine the good from the bad. I've never seen the one you have. Some are known to eat corals. Most are safe. They all multiply rapidly though. I had a couple and played it safe as I have a lot of coral and just removed them.
